A few people have e-mailed me with personal questions in the past, so I have decided to put some personal information on this page.
My name is Steven (duh) I am 21 years old and I live in Scotland. I have been interested in computers since a very young age.
It all began back when I was about eight, when I had just completed my first computer program, it was a very simple program, but it was the beginning of what was to become my main hobby for many years. Later on I acquired a Spectrum +3 that I used to write programs using BASIC. Many years after that I had written many games and programs using the Spectrum, and it was time to move on, and I started using a PC. My first PC Programs were written using GW-Basic, which was the best programming language available to me at the time. After a while I started using Qbasic, and began work on the DOS Desktop shell programs, four versions were written.
After the completion of DOS-Desktop 4, I started learning to program using C++, and then the Squiggy project began. The Squiggy project was going to be called DOS-Desktop 5, but as I was doing the project, I had created a Graphical User Interface for the program, called "SJG-GUI", and someone suggested that I pronounce it "Squiggy!" So from then on, the project was referred to as "Squiggy." Unfortunately I had to give up on the Squiggy project when I started my college course in computing.
It was just after then that Steven's PC Stuff was started, it was a basic site, with a white background, and simple text.
At College I started using Turbo Pascal to write my programs, as that was the preferred language to use in College. And later on, we moved on to using Delphi.
Over the coming years, I re-designed my web site twice, with version two and version three, and I won many awards from Internet organizations for those sites.
Now of course we have version four, and I am now a student at University doing a course in Computer Systems Analysis.
As well as computers, I also like photography, watching television, listening to Jazz music and traveling.
